Today we began with a short Schoolnet Bellringer assessment to gauge students understanding of the material covered thus far.
We continued our look at River Basins and our focus was specifically on NC River Basins. Students got to see how water flows into the Estuary in Raleigh and eventually makes its way to Beaufort NC. Video link is here for those interested.
DROP BY DROP TO THE SEA NC WATERSHED
Students had an opportunity to get started on their vocabulary flashcards. These are due tomorrow as soon as they come in, we will use them to quiz each other with a game of Boom Bag. The words are below, don’t forget the requirements for your flashcards.

Students will be starting a research project tomorrow and will be working on this in class. It will consist of four parts and each part must be completed before moving onto the next and I must approve for you to move forward. Students will leave the work in the classroom so as to not lose them. Parents make sure you look for a parent contract signature page informing you of the project criteria and due dates. I will include the signed returned sheet as part of the project grade and need these back the next day or points will be deducted from the final grade.
